recent beauty faves

Hey hunnas, guess who has finished compulsory education and A Level exams for good!! I actually have spare time with my life to blog again and I know I'm rly out of practice but let's do it all over again.
Last time I told you about beauty things I was lovin was when I rounded up all my favourites of 2016 aka way too long ago so I thought I'd share everything beauty I've been loving recently and everything that's been getting me through the stress and making me look like I've not been exhausted.

Guess who was hella late to the party on this one? I am so over wearing eyeliner and have been for a few months now so I have to have a really good mascara to make up for the lack of a black winged line on my eyes and this works a dream and gets me loads of compliments on my lashes. I don't know how I feel about forking out £19 on a mascara every few months but Imma make the most of this beauty while it lasts.

Charlotte Tilbury Vintage Vamp Luxury Palette

I can't tell you how much I luuvvvv this. The quad contains one of my daily go-to eye makeup looks and having all the colours in one pretty little palette makes it quick and easy to do my eye makeup in the mornings and makes this my go to eyeshadow product to take with me on travels because it's so lil and handbag friendly. The glitter shadows in this are probably the best I've used, they look as close to real flecks of glitter without using actual glitter. I'm now after the Golden Goddess and Dolce Vita versions of this quad because they're so handy and the eyeshadows are super pigmented.

Topshop Contour Wand in Shapes

Y'all know how much I adored Topshop's contour cream, and I'm pretty sure they discontinued the one I was using. I definitely prefer this to the cream, it's so much easier to draw the product onto your face exactly the way you want it and the colour looks more natural when blended in. Another perfect travel product because it's double ended with a blending sponge at the bottom (which I've not used so can't tell you if it's actually even good or not)

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

So ! Late ! To ! The ! Parti Parti ! I mean, with this one I knew I'd love it as much as everyone else does when I eventually bought it, I just wasn't a fan of the idea of dropping like £20 on a mist you spray on your face. For someone who didn't wanna part with the money for a mist, I'm rly using it up fast. I spray before and after applying makeup, and the pre-makeup spray has been so refreshing for my exhaustion wrecked face first thing in the morning. Now we've actually seen some sun and 30°+ weather in Britain for once (am I back in straya or something?) this is a necessity for keeping makeup on your face on a hot day. Or take a tip from 2016 me and go foundation free all Summer long - I'm gonna do this again too. And I'll probs still be spraying this because it feels so fresh.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter Champagne Pop

We all know glowy skin is my fave thing when it comes to makeup, and we all know my love affair with Becca's highlighting products (check them cringe tiny gifs of me applying it in that post loool). When Becca finally released a champagne pop shade of the liquid version of their shimmering skin perfectors I couldn't even cope. My all time favourite highlighting product in my all time fave shade. This is perfect on its own, as a base, mixed with foundation, used as normal liquid highlight. I do think my old Opal shade is a much better colour for wearing it alone all over the face but champagne pop is the world's best highlight colour sooooooo *shrug emoji*.

  1. Wow, that Vintage Vamp palette by CT looks bloody beautiful! I love the reddy orange shade, that would be so nice for autumn.
